Welcome to WARRI EFFURUN PEACE MARATHON

In our country, we have come to recognize that through sports, we can achieve the aim of a peaceful co-existence, inculcate leadership skills in our youths and also ensure that the citizens are physically and mentality fit for the task of nation building. Sports offers enduring friendships, which is the vital ingredient we need to build good relationships amongst the people of Warri, Effurun and it environs. Furthermore, to promote spirit of sportsmanship in an atmosphere of friendship, togetherness, promote and enhance self-development, mutual respect and cohabitation, this program was duly established. We are resolved to sustain the Warri-Effurun Peace Maranthon to promote communual peace, harmony and friendship. By porpular demand, we have extended the scope of the Marathon to include the national athletes, the physcally challenged and Special Athletes.
